SYMMES TOWNSHIP, OHIO – The Tiger men travel to Mason High School tonight to take on the Comets in non-league play. The Tigers stand 3-2 over-all and 2-0 in FAVC action. After losing their first two home games, a close 52-60 loss to Fairfield, and a basketball clinic bruising loss to the city's number one team, Princeton (50-90), the Tigers went on the road to convincingly defeat, Glen Este (61-44), Kings (52-31), and Anderson (62-47). Senior Bobby Capobianco scored 25 against Anderson on December 19, and is averaging 18.3 in the 4 games he has played. Senior Chris Stahl is averaging 11 points per game and Senior Brian Wozniak has a 7.8 point scoring average.
Loveland goes into the game against Mason averaging 61.5 offensive points, while allowing their opponents 45.5, impressive given their 50-90 loss to Princeton
Mason is 2-0 in Greater Miami Conference play and 4-0 overall. They are averaging 57 points and allowing their opponents 45.5. They have beaten Glen Este 65-37, Oak Hills 66-43, Lakota West 48-38, and Kings 48-44. The Comets are led on offense by Seniors Zach Brown (15.7 pts.) and Luke Sutphin (13.7 pts.).

The Loveland JV basketball team traveled to the King Knights on Tuesday evening December 16. The Tigers, who were 1-2 going into the game, got off to a roaring start with Austin Stahl hitting for 7 points in the first 3 minutes of the game. The 1st period ended with Kings leading by 1 point. In second period the Knights outscored Loveland 11-6 for a score of 23-17 at the half. The 3rd period again saw Loveland struggling on rebounds and shooting, Loveland came to within 7 points in the 4th period of catching the Knights, but just couldn't pull it out. Leading the scoring this week was Austin Stahl with 9 points, and Spencer Vance and Andrew Claybourn with 6 each. The final score was Kings 48 Loveland 33.
Loveland Freshman Basketball Game 5 vs Anderson by Dan Timmerman
The Loveland Tigers Freshman boys basketball team traveled to Anderson Friday to face their Buckeye division rivals and lost 38-13.
The Tigers were solid defensively throughout the game and held an early 4-2 lead in the first quarter. However their offensive struggles continued from their previous outing as they failed to score more than 4 points any of the four quarters. Anthony LaMacchia led the scoring with 5 points while Jarron Talbot and Joe Moran each had 4 for the Tigers. Loveland fell to 1-2 in the conference, 2-3 overall.
Freshman play at 4:30 PM, JV at 6 PM, and the Varsity take the floor at 7:30 PM. Directions to Mason High School.
