CLERMONT COUNTY, OHIO - Make sure your baby is protected; vaccinations save lives. As part of National Infant Immunization Week, the Clermont General Health District will hold a children’s immunization clinic on Tuesday, April 28, 2009, at the Clermont Medical Social Services Building, located at 2400 Clermont Center Drive. To schedule an appointment, call (513) 735-8400. “Don’t wait until your child gets to school to catch up on immunizations; older brothers and sisters, even a trip to the grocery can expose babies to disease,” said Julie Bryant, BSN, RN, with the Clermont County General Health District. “By boosting babies’ immune systems through vaccination, they are protected from common childhood diseases.”
National Infant Immunization Week is observed April 25 through May 2, 2009, designed to create awareness about the need for parents to work with medical organizations to ensure their children are up-to-date on their shots. The goal of the campaign is that all children are immunized against communicable diseases by the time they are two years old.
In addition to the shot clinic, the Clermont General Health District will visit libraries across the county during National Infant Immunization Week at Infant and Toddler Story Times to provide information about vaccines and to answer any questions you might have about the need to have your child vaccinated.
The Clermont County General Health District would like to thank the following businesses for their generosity during this campaign and for their continued support: Chick-fil-A (Eastgate), the Clermont Fair Housing program, Duke Energy, and McDonalds (Mt. Carmel, New Richmond, Bethel, and Amelia).
