LOVELAND, OHIO - In May, Loveland High School lacrosse player, Katie Jarvis organized the 2nd Annual Shootin' for a Cure Lacrosse Tournament to raise money for cancer research. Jarvis said she organizes the event, “In memory of my grandma Rita Berlage.”
Jarvis said around $2,500 was raised when the 13 Cincinnati area middle and high school girls lacrosse teams competed at the Loveland Middle School, which included special food, raffles, and t-shirts for sale.
The all-day competition was “to support our loved ones who are currently battling this disease and to celebrate those who are cancer survivors.”
