Boy’s Soccer On A Roll Into Playoffs
LOVELAND, OHIO - Most high school soccer fans expected this to be a special season for Loveland men’s soccer in 2009. The Tigers have reached those high expectations and then some. The Tigers finished the season with an impressive record of 9-3-3, including a 3-0-1 record in conference. The only tie came against Winton Woods.
For the third year in a row, it came down to Loveland and Milford to decide the Buckeye division. And for the second year out of those three, Loveland came out with the win. The final score of that game was 1-0 with the lone goal coming from Junior forward Nathan Boucher.
Loveland then capped off a magical stretch by knocking off the #1 team in the city, and arch rival the Mason Comets. Mason had not lost a game all year until the Comets met up with the men from Loveland. Loveland won by a final score of 1-0, propelling them to a #4 ranking in the city in the coaches poll. It was a huge win because not only was the game at Mason, but it was the last game before the Tigers begin post-season play.
