Children's Meeting House Montessori Students visit Turner Farm

This fall, the preprimary classes from Children's Meeting House Montessori School visited Turner Farm, located in Indian Hill. The children had the opportunity to get their hands dirty and to pick turnips right out of the field. The children then went on a horse-drawn wagon ride to visit some farm animals. They saw lots of pigs and were able to feed the turnips they had just harvested to sheep. The children were also able to run and play in the pumpkin patch and select one pumpkin or gourd to take home.  Turner Farm is a working, organic farm that grows vegetables and flowers, has chickens for eggs and meat, and raises pigs and sheep.  More information can be found at www.turnerfarm.org.
