MIAMI TOWNSHIP, OHIO - The Miami Township Police Department is investigating a report of a possible attempted child enticement that occurred Monday, October 26 at Riverview Park in Miami Township.
The alleged attempt occurred at about 5:55 p.m. (Monday, Oct. 26) and was reported to Miami Township Police on Tuesday October 27. The suspect was described as a white male in his 20s or early 30s with shoulder length brown hair, a brown goatee wearing red and black track pants and a grey t-shirt and was driving a newer model 4 door sedan, possibly an Oldsmobile or Honda.
The male reportedly entered the park restroom behind the 9 year old victim and occupied the stall next to hers. He then passed a small toy, possibly from a McDonald’s Happy Meal toy, which had a sticker on it of a SpongeBob character (Plankton).
The victim’s mother witnessed the male enter the women’s restroom and went to check on her daughter. The male was already inside the neighboring stall when the mother entered and she took her daughter with her and left the area.
Miami Township Police are investigating the case and encourage any person with information about this matter to contact them at 248-3721. Anyone witnessing suspicious activity in progress should immediately call the Clermont County Communications Center at 732-2231 or 911.
