Daniel J. Adams, a 2004 graduate of Loveland High School has joined the United States Army under the Delayed Entry Program. The program gives Adams the opportunity to delay entering active duty for up to one year.
The enlistment gives Adams the option to learn a new skill, travel and become eligible to receive as much as $50,000 toward a college education. After completion of basic military training, he will receive advanced individual training in his career job specialty prior to being assigned to his first permanent duty station. Adams qualifies for a $15,000.00 enlistment bonus.
Adams graduated in 2004 from Loveland High School, Ohio, and received an associate degree in 2008 from Cincinnati State Technical College, Ohio. He will report to Fort Jackson, Columbia, S.C., for basic training in January 2010.
He is the son of Neil and Gwyn Adams of Debra Lane, Loveland.
