This video is a pre-game pep talk by Loveland High School Assistant Athletic Director Kevin Taylor. He talks to the LHS football team about Capt. David “Seth” Mitchell before they prepare to take the field against Milford H.S. on Oct. 30.
Mitchell, 30, formally of Loveland, Ohio a Loveland High School graduate and football player, was one of four Marines killed when two U.S. Marine helicopters collided on October 26 over the southern province of Helmand in Afghanistan.
During the talk, Taylor shares personal stories about the player he once coached, about how "Mitch" played the game of football at Loveland High, and how Mitchell, who so desired to become a Marine pilot, underwent eye surgery and then walked his papers into the Pentagon to prove he was eligible for military flight school.
The Tigers won the game - 28-12.
