The Public Library of Cincinnati and Hamilton County offers a wide range of resources that can help you this tax season. Pick up copies of current tax forms or access them online at any of the Library’s 41 locations across Hamilton County. And, beginning the weekend of Friday, January 29 and Saturday, January 30, volunteers from two area organizations will be at the Main Library to help people prepare their 2009 taxes.
AARP American Association for Retired Persons
When: Fridays: January 29 – April 9, 9:00 a.m., 2:30 p.m.
Where: Main Library, 800 Vine St. - Room 2A
How: Service available by appointment only. Call 369-6900 to schedule. Appointments will be taken on a first-come, first-served basis. Walk-ins will not be accepted.
A collaboration of volunteers from the local IRS office & United Way’s Make Work Pay Program
Who: Taxpayers Whose Annual Income Is Below $48,279 AND File Form 1040, 1040-EZ, Or 1040-AWhen: Saturdays: January 30 – April 10, 9:00 a.m., 1:00 p.m.
Where: Main Library, 800 Vine St. - Room 2A

Additional Service from VITA: Volunteers from the local accounting firm Ernst & Young will work side-by-side University of Cincinnati Accounting Majors to prepare your 2009 tax returns.
