The Loveland Youth Baseball 14U Tigers Gold baseball team went undefeated through pool play and two single elimination tournament games to win the 14U Memorial Day Weekend Tournament Championship at the Flash Baseball Complex in Hammersville, Ohio.
The LYBO Tigers Gold, who play in the Gold North Division of the Southwest Ohio League’s American League, are unique in that all of their players are from the Loveland School District.
The Championship game 6-5 victory came in exciting fashion with Tigers coming from behind with a 2 out 4 run rally to tie the game 5-5 in the bottom of the 7th inning. Then scoring the winning run in the bottom half of the first extra inning to beat the Cincinnati Future Stars, who play in the Gold West Division of the SWOL’s American League.
