Historic Downtown Loveland Will Be Place to Avoid on Morning Commute
Loveland, Ohio - Several local roads have been closed this afternoon due to an unprecedented and record breaking November rain. Traffic back-ups were already a problem late Monday afternoon for people trying to get home from work
Karl Brown Way is closed at the R.R. underpass near Bond Furniture and the Loveland Canoe and Kayak, with water over the roadway. The swollen Little Miami River is lapping at the first floor of the canoe rental and owners were moving equipment to higher ground at 6 PM Monday evening according to Loveland Police.
East Kemper Road (Riverside Drive) is closed because of water over the roadway.
Cones Road in Warren County just outside of Loveland along the Loveland Bike Trail was being closed at 6 PM because of the rising water according to Police.
The National Weather Service in Wilmington predicts the Little Miami will be about 3.5' above flood stage at Kings Mills after midnight and fall back below flood stage late Tuesday morning.
