Proceeds from this event go to the Natalie Fossier Memorial Fund to support local causes that were important to Natalie.
Natalie Fossier was nine years old and in the fourth grade at McCormick Elementary when she was hit and killed by a falling tree limb while playing outside her home with her dog, Angel. Natalie wrote in her diary that she wanted to help the homeless, volunteer in nursing homes, help orphanages, and animal shelters, as well as help other students with their school work.
Natalie’s parents, Dave and Melissa Fossier, have continued to support Natalie’s causes by organizing 5K runs/walks and silent auctions and have raised close to $100,000.
Melisa Fossier shared that, “We have given out scholarships to Milford High School students. We have fed the homeless, made several donations to food pantries and homeless shelters, donated to nursing homes, bought school supplies for several different schools, donated money to libraries, boy scouts, girl scouts, orphanages, McCormick PTO, church ministries to help children with school supplies and books, the fire department, and the Clermont County Humane Society among others. I know this is what Natalie would want us to do. We feel that she touched so many people in her short life and continues to do so through her legacy.”
