Since 1957, members of the Clermont County Humane Society (CCHS) have been dedicated to helping homeless pets and improving the lives of animals. The CCHS is currently recruiting new volunteers to help with their mission of fostering the adoption of unwanted animals and enforcing the humane treatment of all animals.
“We depend on volunteers to help us succeed with our goal of adopting as many of these animals as possible,” said Volunteer Coordinator Sandee Palazzolo. “Every volunteer makes a difference in an animal’s life!”
The Humane Society needs two different categories of volunteers. The first category is for Saturday satellite adoption events at the Eastgate PetSmart store and in-shelter for dog walking and socialization of dogs and cats during regular shelter hours (Monday – Friday, 11:30 a.m. – 4 p.m.). In-shelter volunteers will be provided with orientation and training.
The second category of volunteers is needed for the shelter’s biggest annual fundraiser – the Clermont County Humane Society Dinner and Auction, which will be Saturday, November 3, 2012 at Receptions Eastgate. Volunteers will be needed to help before and during the event. The Dinner and Auction is a night of great food, live and silent auctions, and raffles, all of which helps raise money for the homeless pets in the county.
