The Loveland Police Department is once again hosting its annual Citizens Police Academy at the Loveland Safety Center this fall. This ten-week course begins on September 5 and concludes on November 14. The class meets on Wednesday evenings from 6:30 to 9:30 PM. The academy is free of charge and open to all who live or work in Loveland.
Topics include: Use of the department’s training simulator, K-9 demonstration, domestic violence, mock traffic stops, firearms safety, and a D.U.I. class, to name a few. The class will also visit the Hamilton County Justice Center as well as Loveland Mayor’s Court. Applicants must be at least 18 years of age and pass a criminal background check.
