The intersection improvement project on State Route 28 at Interstate 275 will require a lane closure on southbound I-275 this upcoming weekend.
To accommodate work to implement a traffic switch on southbound I-275, a lane closure will be in place beginning at 8:30 p.m. Friday, Aug. 24, continuing to 3 p.m. Monday, Aug. 27. Two lanes of traffic on southbound I-275 will be maintained through the weekend work, during which multiple traffic switches will be employed. A minimum of one lane of traffic will be maintained from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. each day. Once work is complete, three lanes of southbound I-275 will be shifted to the left inside lanes.
Work will also require closure of the ramp from southbound I-275 to SR 28 from 12:01 to 5 a.m. Monday, Aug. 27. Southbound traffic wishing to exit at Milford may proceed south to US 450/Milford Parkway (exit 59).
Arrow boards and/or signs will be in place prior to the work zone to alert motorists of the upcoming road closure.
