The Loveland JV Men’s soccer team made the short trip over to Sycamore to battle the Aves and came away with a 1 – 1 tie. This was a physical match from start to finish with both teams playing great defense. The first half ended scoreless with only a few shots on each goal. With 30 minutes left in the game, Sycamore got on the scoreboard first with a shot that found its way past the Tiger defense and into the net. Shortly after, the Loveland offense got into gear with several great scoring chances. Striker, Drew Austin, broke through the tough Sycamore defensive line and scored the lone Tiger goal with only 14 minutes left in the game. Coach Tino Mam was pleased with the team’s toughness during the game and recognized the great play of Sophomore’s Josh Leonard and Evan Burig.

The Tigers returned home to play the Div. 2 Finneytown Wildcats. This game was all Loveland with the final score being Loveland 7 and Finneytown 0. Just 14 seconds into the game, the Tigers’ forward Ryan Melink dribbled through the Wildcats’ defensive line and scored his first of two goals on the day. Kyle Oblong also scored 2 goals. Other goals were scored by Michael McManus, Joseph Lynch, and Drew Austin. Lynch also had 3 assists in the game. The win improves the JV Tigers’ record to 7 wins against 3 losses and 1 tie.
