Dear Loveland Magazine Readers,
While I agree that Mr. Obama is a personable guy and can delivery one heck of a speech. But that’s where I have to stop. To say that we should “back off” – with all due respect – Hell No! (Judge Nathaniel Jones on Libyan Crisis: "It's important for people to back off" the President)
Are we to “back off” of the slowest economic recovery in the history of our country? Are we to “back off” the virtually non-existent job growth? Are we to “back off” the highest debt in the history of our nation? Are we to “back off” of an Administration that hasn’t been able to negotiate a balanced budget since taking office? And now are we to “back off” the handling of Israel, Iran, Egypt, Gaza, and now Libya?
I will not back off – as Americans we deserve better! We should show strong leadership on the world stage – leadership that is respected – that’s not happening. Even Secretary of State Hillary Clinton has expressed her displeasure with this Administration.
We are the leaders of the free world – we need to act like it.
People continue to “like” Mr. Obama because he’s a nice guy. As a result of this “nice guy” we’ll be paying for his mess for generations to come through a sub-performing economy, spiraling debt, poor foreign relations – but, at least he’s a nice guy!
We need someone who is willing to negotiate on the world stage and be respected – look at the presence Ronald Reagan brought with every speech and interaction.
We need someone who knows how to grow our businesses (big and small) locally so we all benefit. We need someone who isn’t afraid to tear down entitlements and challenge our current spending rate.
I will not back off! As a hard working American I refuse to have my success define and limited by the government and a President who claims that the dollar I make is somehow more or less than the next guy. Mr. Obama has not shown the type of leadership in the past 3 ½ years that shows any promise for “hope and change” in this country.
We deserve better – he deserves a long golf trip!
