A Message From the Loveland School District:
The Loveland City School District is thankful that we are able to partner with Loveland Magazine to share weather related school information with our community. Loveland Magazine is a valued local partner in sharing information with our community. In addition to our partnership with Loveland Magazine, the Loveland City School District will also continue to use phone notification, posts on the district website, Facebook/Twitter, and local media as means to share information about potential closures/delays caused by winter weather.
“We are committed to providing information in multiple venues,” said Loveland Superintendent Dr. John Marschhausen. “We will use all reasonable resources to disseminate important announcements.”
The National Weather Service has issued a wind advisory for the next 24 hours. In addition, the Weather Channel has shared an Icy Precipitation Alert for the overnight hours.
“The safety of our students is of the utmost importance to us,” said Marschhausen. “We encourage all students and parents to leave a little extra time when preparing for school tomorrow, as the commute may take longer than normal. If we are able to safely get students to school, even if it takes a little extra time, we will do so. For some of our new drivers this may be the first opportunity to travel in winter precipitation. Be cautious, take some additional time and travel safely.”
