Loveland, Ohio - Fire Chief Magazine and the International Association of Fire Chiefs has announced that Loveland-Symmes Chief Otto Huber is a finalists for the 2012 Fire Chief of the Year Awards. Now in it’s 18th year, the awards program honors one volunteer chief and one career chief for longtime dedication and leadership in the fire and emergency services.
Huber is among ten finalists for 2012 Career Chief of the Year. Huber was nominated for his local and national contributions to firefighter safety and training.

Area chiefs from the region, including the Northeast Fire Collaborative, and one chief from California, attended to honor Huber. More than 40 friends, family, and colleagues attended the meeting to support the Chief.
Loveland Mayor, Rob Weisgerber issued a City Proclamation honoring Huber's service to the City.
The winners — selected by Fire Chief’s editorial advisory board — will be announced during the opening session of Fire-Rescue International meeting, Aug. 3 in Denver.
