Loveland, Ohio - At approximately 11AM Tuesday morning, a green van was stopped outside of the Shell gas station at 10629 Loveland-Madeira Road on what is being reported as a traffic stop. Inside the van, Loveland police officers found what appeared to be a mobile methamphetamine laboratory. Later that day the gas station continued their business as usual
A press release issued by the City at 3 PM, said that Investigators from the Hamilton County and Clermont County drug units, the Ohio Bureau of Criminal Identification and Investigations, and the Ohio State Highway Patrol were contacted and are assisting in the investigation.
What is not known:
Were these Loveland residents?
What was the setup of the laboratory?
Was there any danger in stopping a mobile meth laboratory at a gas station?
What tipped the Loveland Police Officer off that he or she was dealing with a rolling meth lab?
Do they have prior offenses?
What are the charges they are facing?
Was the arrest routine?
Lovelnd Magazine asked for an interview with the Loveland Police Department late this afternoon. No one was available for comment. Loveland Magazine will follow this story as more details become available.
