Milford, Ohio - The Greater Milford Events and Arts Council
(GMEAC) elected new officers to the Board of Directors. Mark Chaffin, president, Kim Chamberland,
vice president, and Marti Kleinfelter, secretary, were recently elected by the
members of GMEAC.
Also elected and returning to the Board is Dave Hunter, Sr.,
finance officer; Judy Sheakley, fundraising and events chair; Susan Widder,
membership chair; Connie Hunter, nominating committee; Char Hinners, community
liaison; and Mary Anne Crowley, officer at large.
Connie Hunter, former president and founder of GMEAC,
credits Dr. Vivian Franz for proposing an events and arts council for the
greater Milford and Miami Township area.
The board recognized Mrs. Hunter for her service and dedication to GMEAC
and the community.
GMEAC’s monthly meetings are the second Monday of every
month, 8:30 a.m., at Panera Bread, 1066 SR 28, Miami Township, Clermont County,
Ohio.
The next meeting is scheduled on
February 11, 2013. The meetings are open to members and anyone interested in
GMEAC.
The council is currently planning the third annual Bikes in Bloom garden
art project for 2013.
The Cincinnati Horticultural Society awarded Bikes in Bloom
2012 the Gardener’s Recognition Award.
Winners in the community category show “love of gardening (that) cultivates
gorgeous outdoor spaces that delight and inspire all who see them.” More than
50 bikes were ‘planted’ during Bikes in Bloom 2012 and ‘delighted’ the greater
Milford and Miami Township community.
