Loveland, OH - A lot of folks in Loveland, and in Greater Cincinnati will remember musician, vocalist, music teacher and Loveland resident Kenny Taylor. The Loveland High School Jazz band has rehearsed Frank Sinatra's "Always" in tribute to Taylor in a special arrangement commissioned to honor the life's work of a Loveland music legend.
The arrangement will début on February 16 at Loveland High School at the annual Big Band Spaghetti Dinner that starts at 6 PM. The fund-raiser will support a trip to N.Y. City where the band will sit in on their own 90 minute clinic at the Lincoln Center with a member of the Lincoln Center Jazz Orchestra.
Another highlight os the trip is that the students will be performing a concert on the flight deck of the air craft carrier, Intrepid.
In this LOVELAND MAGAZINE VIDEO, Heather Higdon, the Chief Information Officer of the Loveland District interviews Band Director, Bruce Maegly and Keith Taylor, son of Kenny Taylor. Maegly talks about the band, how the arrangement was commissioned, about the Big Band Spaghetti Dinner, and the trip to NYC. Keith Taylor talks about the life of his father
