Morrow, Ohio. - A Little Miami school bus was in volved in a one-vehicle accident on Whitacre Road this morning on its regular route to Harlan-Butlerville Primary School.
Four first- and second-grade students were on the bus at the time of the accident and none were injured according to a release issued by the District.
Around 8:20 AM, Bus No. 24 went off the right side of the road after the driver took action to avoid an oncoming vehicle encroaching on the centerline. The bus went into the ditch and then came back onto the roadway where it was stopped. The bus sustained some damage, including a mirror that was broken when it made contact with a small tree.
Three students were released to their parents and were taken to school.
The fourth student was “verbally released” to school officials and was transported to school by Principal Pam Coates.
Harlan Township emergency services personnel were dispatched to scene and reported that no one required medical treatment. The Ohio State Patrol is investigating the accident.
