Loveland, Ohio - Here in HD Video is the Hold On Talent Slam that was sponsored by and hosted at the Loveland Magazine TV Studio on Feb 2.
The show was also sponsored by A.S.A.P. (Andrew's Suicide And Prevention) a ministry of the Epiphany United Methodist Church, Loveland High School's Active Minds, and the Loveland Artist Studios on Main.
Contestants were selected through an audition process which was held in January. Participants were from Loveland High School, Milford High School, Blanchester, Goshen, Scarlet Oaks High School, Sycamore High School, Amelia and Walnut Hills High School. One finalist was from Akron.
The MC was Loveland Magazine Sports Reporter, Ricky Mulvey.
Loveland High School Senior, Mallory Jackson was the Stage Manager.
A capacity, standing room, sit on the floor crowd of approximately 350 spectators watched 14 acts compete for $8,500 in cash and college tuition credits. The first place prize was $1,000. All finalists received a cash award and a certificate for $500 in tuition credits that can be used at 300 universities. The scholarships were provided by Summit College Funding Inc. and Shawn Custis, owner of the Artists Studios on Main. The teens performed for five highly qualified judges that were selected for their varied expertise.
The audience took home hundreds of dollars worth of door prizes donated by individuals and area businesses and restaurants. Food and drinks were provided for all at the free event.
Planning took place at the Loveland Magazine office this Sunday for a 2014 event.
The stage lighting was set by Bob Kessler. Kessler also shot this video. The sound was provided by phil Jones with MDAudio. Video editing was done at the Loveland Magazine TV Studio.
