Early Head Start
The Head Start home-based program (ages 3-5) is 9 months and the Early Head Start home-based program (birth-3 years of age) is 12 months. Home-based Head Start is a great alternative to traditional preschool education if the parent is not ready for their child to go to a center or if the parent wants more one-on-one assistance in helping their child prepare for a life of learning. Two options exist for home-based services:
- 1.5 hours of home visitation weekly and center socialization twice monthly; or
- 1.5 hours of home visitation bi-weekly and center socialization twice a week. week.
