This September, during National Library Card Sign-Up Month, a newly designed Library card will be introduced. Each Library card will include a matching key fob. New and current customers are invited to take advantage of owning one of these limited-edition,
commemorative red Library cards with gold logo emblem. The specially marked emblem recognizes your Library as a 2013 National Medal for Museum and Library Service Award Winner (awarded by the Institute of Museum and Library Sciences).
Plus, for more convenience, current cardholders will have the option of changing their present card number to an easy-to-remember alterative ID. Likewise, new Library card- holders can also make use of the alternative ID. Rather than relying on a randomly assigned number, this option makes it easier for customers to remember an ID they provide. Others, who may prefer to keep their current Library card numbers, can do so as well. It’s your choice!
Whether you opt for the new card, keep your current one, or sign up as a first-time cardholder, the best part about owning a Library card is having access to all of the wonderful resources and online services available to you for free. It’s your key to unlocking a wealth of endless knowledge.
