Got box tops?
Loveland, Oh. - It is a PTA fundraising effort significant enough to have a dedicated parent volunteer hold the title “Box Tops Coordinator” – and this year that parent, Presley Lindemann, helped raise more than $3,300 ($3,386.80 to be exact) for Loveland Early Childhood Center (LECC), Loveland Primary School (LPS) and Loveland Elementary School (LES).
“Every time I count up box tops, I’m shocked by the amount of money that is raised – and this time was really amazing!” said Lindemann. “This year we rewarded the students with a special Pajama Day for participating in the collection, and this brought in nearly $1,000 more than we collected for the same time period last year.”
The money raised by the box top collection along with other PTA fundraisers goes to support enrichment programs for LECC, LPS and LES students. The programs include Science Day, transportation and admittance fees for field trips, and teacher stipends for classroom supplies and technology.
“We can’t thank the PTA enough for the support they give to all of our students,” said Jennifer Forren, LES principal.
“It is amazing what they are able to raise to enhance the education we provide,” said Kevin Fancher, LPS principal. “We are truly blessed to have them as partners.”
Lindemann said the box top collection will continue to be a valuable part of the PTA fundraising efforts.
“I plan to have more events like this in the future to remind parents and students to keep an eye out for box tops and send them in,” said Lindemann. “I would also like to remind everyone about expiration dates on box tops; we encourage parents to send them in frequently to avoid wasted money.”
