Founder and Race Director of the “Amazing Charity Race
Dr. Portmann is a 1989 graduate of Bowling Green State University and a 1994 graduate of Logan College of Chiropractic. He has been practicing in the Cincinnati area for nearly 20 years starting in St. Bernard before opening his current office at 550 Wards Corner Rd in Loveland in 2003.
As a Certified Chiropractic Sports Physician, his training specializes in treating patients with a wide range of musculoskeletal problems. This includes ailments such as knee, foot, shoulder and elbow pain, encompassing a wide variety of injuries that not only affect the school age athlete, but also the weekend warrior. In addition to this he also treats patients with neck, shoulder and back pain. He believes everyone can lead a healthier life by maintaining a flexible spine, especially as one ages.
Dr. Portmann is an avid runner and fitness fanatic. He is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist. When he is not adjusting clients he enjoys spending time training others. In addition to this, he is the founder and Race Director of the “Amazing Charity Race (Formally Loveland’s Amazing Race)”.
Dr. Portmann is passionate about encouraging people to live healthy active lifestyles. Recently he has incorporated a Yoga and Pilates studio into his building offering daily classes. Information on this can be found on the office web site at “http://www. WardsCornerChiro.com”, under the “About Us” page. He believes the addition of Yoga and Pilates is a great compliment to his Chiropractic care.
Dr. Portmann, his wife Sandie and their two daughters have lived in Loveland for the past 12 years. He said he is proud to live and work in such a great community, where he can see his patients at sporting events, grocery shopping, or enjoying the bike trail.
