Dunster was the Executive Producer-Special Projects, at WCPO in Cincinnati before taking a job as Assistant News Director at KTVM TV, an NBC affilliate in Montana in 2010. He then worked as News Director for NBC Montana where he had direct management of the news, technical, and web staff at the Missoula, Kalispell, Bozeman, and Butte television stations.
Dunster moved back to Loveland and began working for the Dayton station in July of 2012 as their News Technology Manager.
During his early time at Channel 9 in Cincinnati, Dunster was a sports photographer and producer for16 years, covering local, regional, national, and international sporting events. He was responsible for shooting and editing highlights of Cincinnati Reds baseball, Cincinnati Bengals football, University of Cincinnati and Xavier University NCAA basketball, plus local high school sporting events. He also produced several pre-season and in-season Bengals specials and covered several high profile events for CBS including the 1994 Winter Olympics in Norway, numerous Master's Golf Tournaments, NCAA Final 4's, Superbowls, several World Series, Cal Ripken's Record Breaking Game, and the Daytona 500.
Dunster is a two time National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences (NATAS) Emmy Award winner, and four time NATAS Emmy Award nominee. He has won a Ohio News Photographer Association Award for Videography and Ohio Associated Press Award for Enterprise Reporting.
