Loveland, Ohio - Loveland High School (LHS) Economics Teacher Charles Warden has been named Economics Teacher of the Year. The University of Cincinnati (UC) Economics Center presented Warden the award at UC’s Annual Awards Luncheon Thursday, March 27.
“Mr. Warden is a distinguished educator and serves as a department chair at LHS,” said Loveland Superintendent Chad Hilliker. “He is dedicated to advancing student knowledge of economics – we are honored to have him as a part of our Tiger Family and thrilled at UC’s recognition of his commitment to excellence in education.”
The UC Economics Teacher of the Year Award is designed to promote an educator who is committed to his/her students having a true understanding of business, economic concepts and financial literacy. The award is given to a leader in a school/district who is respected by their peers for their high quality instructional methods.
“We are so proud to recognize Mr. Warden for his accomplishments,” said Dr. Julie Heath, Economics Center director. “He is the perfect representative of the power of a good teacher – he engages his students, he brings economics to life, and he guides them to discovering the important connections between the classroom and the real world.”
