Loveland City School District Superintendent
Like you, I am resident of Loveland. In 1991, my wife Lisa and I decided that Loveland was the place we wanted to live and raise our children. We knew that Loveland was not only a great family centered community but also had excellent schools. My three children, Jake, Joe, and Ellie, have benefited from their years at Loveland. Collectively my family has had 25 years of experience at Loveland City Schools. The opportunities the teachers have provided them and the care they have shown them is second to none. I could not be prouder of the education we
provide for each of our students. I am sure many of you feel the same about your experience!
In the classroom we have teachers who are dedicated. My experience has been that each teacher gets to know my child and helps them to grow in their classroom. Their teachers looked for ways to reinforce their skills and give them responsibilities to improve their skills. I can think of a few times where my children needed extra support to help them with a skill or concept and the teachers were there to help. I am sure many of you are aware that we have teachers who meet with students before or after school to review or help them learn concepts for class. There is nothing like a study session for a high school student at Starbucks!
We also have so many wonderful programs that give our students opportunities for growth beyond the classroom. My children have been part of marching band for a number of years. While any activity can take a lot of effort, the final product is always worth the effort. I realize many parents have students in academic clubs, afterschool programs, athletics, drama, or other activities. These activities are led not only by teachers but many parent volunteers. I thank you for your time and commitment to our students. Each of these programs helps to reinforce that hard work and perseverance are important attributes to accomplish goals.
When I became superintendent a year ago, I was excited to have the opportunity to lead our district forward. As your superintendent, I know that we will improve opportunities for students across all grade levels. We will continue to look for ways to expand course offerings and experiences to best prepare our students for their future. We will put in front of our students the best and brightest teachers and equip them with the tools and technology to do their job well. I am excited about the years ahead for Loveland!
Dedicated to the future of our students,
