Online Language Learning at the Library
Planning on a trip abroad this summer? Before you depart, use one of the Library's online language learning services to pick up a foreign language from the comfort of home.
Mango Languages is focused on practical, common conversation skills and includes instruction on vocabulary, pronunciation, grammar, and culture. Strategically placed memory building exercises make sure that you’ll remember what you learn as you go. And the critical thinking exercises help you intuitively build on what you learn so you can adapt it to similar conversations in real life. Over 50 foreign and ESL languages are represented in Mango, including Chinese (Cantonese and Mandarin), French, German, Japanese, Russian, and Spanish. A Mango Languages app is available in iTunes or Google Play.
To use Mango from home, you will need a valid library card number and PIN. New users will be prompted to create an account with Mango the first time they log in. You must create an account on the Mango website before using the app.
