Morrow, Ohio - Two Little Miami teachers were recently named winners of a county-wide program that recognizes outstanding educators.
Little Miami Intermediate School teacher Stephanie Grieshop and LM preschool teacher Amber Huber have been named Project Excellence award winners for 2014.
The Area Progress Council of Warren County seeks nominations for Project Excellence each year to recognize excellence in public education. Anyone may nominate a teacher to be recognized.
Two outstanding educators from each public school district in Warren County receive a trophy and a cash award each year at an annual recognition banquet. Project Excellence has awarded more than $400,000 to more than 500 educators since 1988.
Little Miami had a total of 34 educators nominated this year, more than any other district in the county.
Little Miami Superintendent Greg Power visited the unsuspecting Grieshop and Huber in their classrooms and gave them flowers and a card thanking them for their contributions to the district. The two of them will be honored at a banquet on May 7.
