Loveland, Ohio - At the last board meeting Bob McGohan has been awarded the 2014 city of Loveland's Stan McCoy Award.
Thie award recognizes those who have served the youth of the Loveland community. Nominees must be persons of quality and integrity who, with love and enthusiasm for the Loveland area, have worked to sustain and improve the community.
Mr. McCoy played football, basketball, and baseball at Loveland, and later served Loveland Schools in a variety of capacities, including football coach, athletic director, and assistant superintendent. Among Mr. McCoy’s many honors are the Ohio High School Coaches Hall of Fall and Loveland High School Hall of Fame. Past recipients of the award include Larry Hawk, Bill West, Dave Evans, Dave Hirsch, Dr. Richard Lamping, Doug Gausmann, and Ray Williams.
McGohan will be presented the award at City Council on June 10
