On this 40th anniversary we will gather to remember and give thanks for those who died for our freedom on June 6, 1944.
It is an opportunity, also, to remember those who have served our nation in the years since, and to pray for the safety and health of those men & women who are serving our nation today.
It is also an opportunity to pray for peace in our world.
Join us for a simple prayer service at 7:30 pm, followed by a concert by our choir and brass quintet.
The concert will feature music in memory of those who have died and favorite patriotic tunes. Our choir and instrumentalists are volunteering their time and talents for this anniversary event. We will accept a freewill offering that will be sent to the Wounded Warriors Project.
We will recognize the veterans among us and thank you for your service. In addition, Quilts of Valor has donated four of the quilts they sew for veterans. All veterans who are present will have the opportunity to put their names in a raffle to win one of these quilts.
