From the Loveland Area Chamber of Commerce:
The City of Loveland will be closing W. Loveland Ave. between Karl Brown Way and SR 48 (Second Street) at 4:00 p.m. on Friday, July 4, 2014. It will reopen after midnight. East bound traffic on W. Loveland Ave. will be sent south on Karl Brown Way under the train trestle to Broadway St. West bound traffic on E. Loveland Avenue will be sent south on SR 48 (2nd Street) to west bound Broadway. Any vehicle over 8 feet in height will not be able to navigate under the railroad trestle on Karl Brown Way.
Vehicles over 8 feet in height that normally travel on W. Loveland Ave. between Loveland Madeira Road and SR 48 will have to take Hopewell Rd. (Bridge St.) from Loveland Madeira Rd to Branch Hill Guinea Pike to Wards Corner Rd. and then back to SR 48 (Loveland–Miamiville Rd.) back into Loveland on the east side of the bridge.
Vehicles over 8 feet in height coming into Loveland on SR 48 that would normally cross over the Paxton Bridge on W. Loveland Ave. will have to take SR 48 to Wards Corner Rd. then to Branch Hill Guinea Pike back to Loveland Madeira Rd.
The parade will begin at 7:00 p.m. at the Loveland Primary School. The parade travels north on Loveland Madeira Road and then east on W. Loveland Avenue through downtown to SR 48 (Second St.). Motorists can expect traffic delays with intermittent closures of side streets along the parade route.
Fireworks begin at dusk. At the conclusion of the fireworks, motorists can expect intermittent road closures and traffic delays along Loveland-Madeira Road and West Loveland Avenue, including the Paxton Bridge.
