12-year-old Loveland resident Kirstin Thomas continues her success of 5K runs and has added a “few” more wins to her resume. Soon to be a seventh grader at Loveland Middle School, Kirstin has upped her age group wins to 35 and her overall female wins to 9 since lacing up for her first 5K. She has consistently stayed in the top three female finishers and in the top ten finishers overall.
Kirstin was featured last September on the Loveland City Schools home page in an interview posted on the website. Kirstin was also featured on a website called speedy-feet.com as well.
Kirstin was the lone sixth grader on the powerful middle school SMAC XC club’s state runner-up team and recorded the third fastest individual time to get the SMAC team within a point of being state champions.
Kirstin remains a high honors honor roll student-athlete at Loveland. She also participates in outreach programs at St. Columban and Matthew :25 Ministries.
Local business Aquarian Pools have supported her summer race needs financially and have been equally supportive personally.
