A Press Release from the Loveland Police Department:
The new school year begins on Wednesday, August 20 for Loveland City Schools and Saint Columban students. To promote safety for both the students and parents in the school district, the Loveland Police Division will be monitoring and enforcing speed violations in all school zones as well as stop sign violations in neighborhoods near the schools.
High visibility patrols will begin August 20, 2014 and continue through the first two weeks of the new school year. The Police Division’s pole mounted radar will also be placed in these school zones to monitor and display vehicle speeds as a reminder to the motoring public.
Each year we have a new crop of inexperienced drivers making their way to Loveland High School. We ask that everyone driving in and around the high school use due caution and have patience as students park and parents and busses drop off other students.
Our desire is to have motorists be courteous, slow down, obey the speed limits and stop signs and keep everyone safe.
