Loveland, Ohio – The Little Miami River Chamber Alliance has selected Carol Williams as the 2017 Valentine Lady, and the official 2017 Valentine Card designed by Mrs. Bonnie McNett.

Williams will assume the role of the Valentine Lady, currently held by Laurie Gordon, at the 2017 Valentine Program Kick-off to be held on January 7 at 11 AM at the Loveland Kroger store.

Williams, her husband and all three of her children graduated from Loveland High School. Over the years she has been a Girl Scout Leader, President of the Lloyd Mann Elementary School PTA, and worked to get many school levies passed. She worked with Dr. Comisar, an Optometrist in Loveland for 12 years. After that, she had a catering business and then worked for Loveland Schools as a Child Nutritionist Supervisor for 10 years before retiring.

Bonnie McNett, the designer of the 2017 Valentine Card, began her pottery adventure by taking an introductory wheel-throwing course in college, instead of Organic Chemistry II, like her advisor wanted. She is a nature lover and a ceramic artist who has many interests including teaching pottery to children, hiking, cooking, and bird watching. She has donated her time and talents to many local schools, artists groups, and other local charities. She owns Mud Slinger Studio, works at Whistle Stop Clay Works, and is one of the Artists in Residence at Children’s Meeting House Montessori School. She, her husband, and three sons have lived in Miami Township for 12 years.

McNett is a frequent contributor of writing and photography to Loveland Magazine.

The 2017 Loveland Valentine card illustrates a red, dot heart and border with the quote, “There is Nothing in the World so Sweet as Love…” The card will be unveiled and available for sale at the Valentine Program Kick-off. They will also be available at select Loveland area businesses and stores.

The public is invited on January 7 to attend the ceremony and congratulate Williams, and McNett.
