Loveland, Oh. – Area gardeners should mark their calendars for Granny’s Plant Sale, benefitting Granny’s Garden School, on Saturday, May 2 from 7 AM until to 5 PM and Sunday, May 3 from 9 aAM until 3 PM on the grounds of the Loveland Elementary and Primary Schools, 550 Loveland-Madeira Road. Customers will delight in the vast selection of heirloom tomato plants, annuals, perennials, vegetables, herbs and more. We’ll have coffee, donuts and bagels for the early birds.

For the novice or experienced gardener, Granny’s Garden Sale is the perfect place to get everything for a great vegetable garden, beautiful flowerbeds and gorgeous landscaping.

There will be experts on hand both days to answer questions, including chef, syndicated columnist and author Rita Heikenfeld, who will be present on Saturday from 9 AM until 1 PM to share her extensive knowledge about herbs. The

Cincinnati Rose Society, Cincinnati Dahlia Society, and Burton’s Bamboo Garden will also be on-side to offer advice.

Five local growers – including Blooms and Berries Farm Market, Al Krismer’s Plant Farm, Jaybird Farms, Greenfield Plant Farm and Greensleeves Farms – will provide a wide variety of plants for selection.

Tano Bistro and Catering, Grandma’s Pizza and the Veg Head will provide free food samples all weekend.

On Saturday, kids and animal lovers of all ages can visit with kittens, bunnies, sheep and a pygmy goat at the Shakerdale Farm petting zoo.

All children can receive a coupon for a free cherry tomato plant at the sale, simply by emailing roberta@grannysgardenschool.org.

Eads Fence, Tano Bistro and LaRosa’s are providing their support of the event through sponsorship.
