Loveland, Ohio – Four-year Varsity starter and U.C. commit Jillian Hayes surpassed the Loveland High School all-time scoring record last Thursday in the Lakota gym when the Tigers beat Talawanda 62-24 in the first round of the State Tournament. Hayes scored 19 and grabbed 10 rebounds.
Junior Jenna Batsch scored 11 and added 4 steals and 5 assists. Kate Garry scored 10.
The win advances Loveland to play Lebanon coming off their close win over Little Miami 43-36.
Lebanon with a 6-7 (13-10) record is in the Greater Western Conference and finished in second place in their National Division. Senior #12 Kendall Folley scored 21 in the win over Little Miami and averages 15.1 points per game. Senior Logan Mueller scored 12 and averages 6.8.
The Tigers vs. Warriors game will be played on Wednesday at 7:30 PM at Lakota East High School.
