Internship positions are offered in the fall, spring, and summer semesters in both the Washington, D.C. and District offices. Any student who is enrolled in college or graduate school and is at least 18 years of age is eligible to apply. Successful candidates must possess notable academic and extracurricular achievements, leadership potential and a strong writing ability. Applicants must also be well-organized, have a positive attitude, and exhibit the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced atmosphere. While internships are not paid, there is the opportunity to earn academic credit.

Washington, D.C. Internship

Washington, D.C. intern responsibilities include performing exceptional constituent services, researching legislation, and leading Capitol Hill tours. Interns will also have the opportunity to attend hearings and briefings, as well as perform additional duties based on their abilities and interests. District Internships (Cincinnati, Peebles)

District intern responsibilities include providing exceptional constituent services, conducting research projects for district staff, and accompanying district staff to various visits around the Second District.
