Loveland, Ohio – Loveland High School Senior Jonathan Reese has been awarded a 2015 Students of Integrity (SOI) Scholarship. Presented by the Better Business Bureau (BBB) Thursday, Oct. 29, at the Torch Awards for Marketplace Ethics celebration in downtown Cincinnati, the BBB awards this annual scholarship to recognize high school students in BBB’s 20-county service area who demonstrate superior ethical reasoning skills.fran 10:2015

Reese was selected for serving as both the INTERalliance chapter president at LHS and the director of engineering for the STEMs for Youth Program, and for his work on a mission trip to Honduras three years ago – when he volunteered his time to dig latrines, mud houses, and – as it happened – find his calling.

“The people there were absolutely amazing,” said Reese. “They were doing great things, and they didn’t have the things we consider necessities here. I wondered what would happen if you went there and brought them some of those tools. It’s what inspired me to go into electrical engineering.”

“Jonathan is able to use his skills to help others hone theirs,” said Jamie Hamilton, LHS guidance counselor. “He is a really great young man, and we are abundantly proud of all he has accomplished in our Loveland community and beyond.”
