State Final Four game to be played this Tuesday at 7 PM

Dear Loveland Community,

Your #1 ranked City Champion and #8 (State) ranked Loveland Women’s Soccer team won a thrilling 1-0 Regional Final game on Saturday at Lakota East over a very tough Springboro team who was ranked #1 in Dayton and #4 in the State, punching their ticket to their first ever Ohio State Final Four match on Tuesday.

jarvis-verticalSophomore Taylor Nuncio scored off a flick from fellow sophomore Brice Grieshop off a corner from junior Megan Schuster to put the Tigers up 1-0 late in the first half. That lone goal proved to be the game winner as Loveland’s defense proved to be stout once again in shutting out Springboro and registering their 11th shutout of the season, the most in a season in Loveland history.

This 2015 team, with an overall record of 17-3-1, has now also tied the Loveland school record for most wins in a single season.

The crowd on Saturday at Lakota East was absolutely tremendous. Even the Springboro coaches were talking about how many fans we had and how much support there was for our Tigers.  We had almost 2-½ times the number of fans that Springboro did.  The girls greatly appreciate it and I firmly believe it is one of the main reasons they have been able to go on this tournament run knowing and seeing how much support they have each and every game from the community and the surrounding areas.  I do not believe we have played a game this year where the other team (Despite being at home) had more fans than we did which is a testament to the Loveland community, Loveland administration, and our very own Loveland students.

Next up is the State Final Four game to be played this Tuesday at 7:00 PM at Legacy Field at Centerville Alumni Stadium* against Olentangy Liberty Powell.  It will be another tough match up and our Tigers will need your support in helping to pull them through.  A win Tuesday puts our Tigers in the State Championship game on Friday, November 13th at Columbus Crew Stadium which is exciting.  If you would like to view the tournament brackets and follow the Tiger’s quest, you can do so at this link .

Please choose to “Join the Journey” and show your support this Tuesday as the girls continue on their mission to secure their first ever State Championship.

Thanks again in advance for your support.
