Loveland, Ohio – The JLine Dance Crew from New York City performed for students at Loveland High School (LHS) and Loveland Middle School (LMS) as part of the district’s My Voice, My Choice campaign.

“The message delivered by the JLine Dance Crew reinforces the core values of our My Voice, My Choice district-wide culture,” said Jamie Gordon, LHS counselor and My Voice, My Choice sponsor. “The energetic performance featured hip hop and jazz funk choreography that entertained the students while promoting respect for others, taking responsibility for your actions and standing up for others.”

JLine Dance Crew has traveled to more than 800 districts across the country, and the show includes a 30-minute performance of the crew’s high energy choreography that engages and entertains the audience, while also imparting a powerful message. The team then includes a 15-minute talk on anti-bullying, respect and responsibility, and discusses how to deal with and stand up to bullying, overcoming obstacles and how they themselves persevered in order to do what they love, which is perform and inspire others.

“The message was a perfect complement to our current Upstander theme – encouraging our students to take a stand for others who they see being bullied,” said Gordon. “What a fun way to reinforce awareness of our culture of kindness in the Loveland City School District!”
