What: Cincinnati Library Comic Con 2015 Drawing Contest

Who: The Public Library of Cincinnati and Hamilton County When: March 1-31

Where: All 41 Library locations

Why: To gear up for the CLCC 2015 event May 16 at the Main Library

Theme: Comic books, graphic novels and manga

Between March 1-31, comic and superhero fans of all ages are invited to enter the Cincinnati Library Comic Con 2015 Drawing Contest at any Library location. Winners will be recognized at an awards ceremony held May 16 during the CLCC 2015 event.

Ages categories are:

Division 1 Children ─  (ages 5-6)

Division 2 (ages 7-9)

Division 3 (ages 10-12)

Teens (ages 13-17) and

Adult (ages 18 and older).

Whether you’re into anime or zombies, Batman or Spiderman, Star Wars or Star Trek, fans won’t want to miss the Main Library’s third annual Comic Con series, which runs from March 1 to May 16.

Cincinnati Library Comic Con 2015 Main Event

 This five-hour program features artists, writers, game creators, event partner booths, free comic books*, the CLCC15 Drawing Contest awards, a Cosplay contest, Lego robotics, superhero and geek crafting, comic book trivia, face painting, a board and card gaming area hosted by Gateway Games, and more!

*Available on a first come first serve basis. One comic book per person.

Where: Main Library, 800 Vine Street, Cincinnati, Ohio 45202

When: Saturday, May 16, 2015. noon–5 p.m.

  • Noon–5 p.m.: Creator Booths, Con-Quest, face-painting, Gaming Area hosted by Gateway Games & More, Lego Robotics, Makerspace Photobooth and Demos, and coloring in the Children’s Learning Center.
  • Noon–2 p.m.: Comic Book Trivia
  • 1–2 p.m.: Superhero Training Camp for Kids
  • 2–3 p.m.: Superheroes to the Rescue!
  • 3–4 p.m.: Superhero Essentials for Kids
  • 3–4 p.m.: Cosplay Contest*
  • 4–4:45 p.m.: CLCC15 Drawing Contest Awards Ceremony

Guests include: Christopher Bennett, Cincinnati ComiCon, Cincinnati Comic Expo, Hamster Bomb Comics, 501st Legion – Ohio Garrison, Philip duBarry, Steve Harmon and Harmon Comics, Ken Henson, Ellen Schreiber, Scott Simmons, Tim Fuller, Tim Kask, Jim Wampler, and more!

*Family friendly and library appropriate costumes only
