LIS families get a chance to spend an evening engaged in creative science-based learning – all thanks to the M/INT PTSA

Katie and Claudia Lindemann worked on science projects as part of the April 30 Family Science Night.

It was a chance to “Light up LIS!” Thursday, April 30, as Loveland Intermediate School (LIS) families enjoyed an evening full of family science fun – all thanks to the M/INT PTSA! Parents and caregivers joined students in making kaleidoscopes, anamorphic art and 3-D drawings while learning about reflection, refraction and optical illusions.

“We are so thankful to our supportive parent organization for making a night like this possible for our students and their families,” said Steve Federman, LIS science teacher. “Loveland is a strong school community – that means a joint effort between teachers, staff and parents to help our students be the best they can; we are so fortunate to have such a strong relationship.”

In addition to sponsoring the LIS family science night, the M/INT PTSA is also providing mini-grants to LIS classrooms.
