Loveland, Ohio – The Ohio Department of Education (ODE has awarded the Loveland Early Childhood Center a 5-Star Award. The award was presented in recognition for meeting the quality standard established by the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services and the Ohio Department of Education.

“This is a pretty intensive process to go through, and it is exciting that Loveland has attained the highest-possible rating, noting the quality of the preschool programming that we offer!” said Loveland Director of Student Services Eric Dool. “The district is super proud of the work by our LECC preschool staff, and we are thrilled they received this much-deserved recognition!”

The award is part of ODE’s Step Up To Quality program which has a Five-Star Tiered Quality Rating and Improvement System created to recognize and promote early learning and development programs that meet quality standards over and above the health and safety licensing requirements.

“Our preschool classrooms are pretty sophisticated operations from the teaching standpoint – multiple leveled student activities available for learning and interactive play, built-in learning checks for each student across a variety of skills, with a strong emphasis on social communication skills throughout each day,” said LECC Principal Kyle Bush. “It is rewarding to see that we surpassed the qualifications for the state’s highest rating of early childhood programs. Our program is exceptional. Of course, everyone likes to have their efforts validated. We appreciate that our parents and the broader public can be assured that the students in our program are having an enriching and engaging experience here each day.”
