Loveland, Ohio – At the Ohio School Board Association (OSBA) Southwest Region’s Fall Conference on October 11, the Loveland City School District was honored with multiple recognitions.

Dr. Kathryn Lorenz, long-time member of the Loveland Board of Education and currently serving as board vice president, was recognized as a nominee to the All Ohio School Board. Dr. Lorenz received the Al Kettlewell Award for her outstanding boardmanship.

Ms. Bre Sambuchino, teacher at Loveland High School, was honored as one of four finalists for 2019 Ohio Teacher of the Year by the Ohio Department of Education.

Loveland’s Robotics program was also recognized at the event and coined one of the top three “Outstanding Ongoing Programs” in the Southwest Region. The district’s “Digital Microscopes Enhance Curiosity” and “Innovation Lab” programs were honored for being selected to participate in the Student Achievement Fair at the OSBA Capital Conference in Columbus later this fall. The fair highlights exemplary programs, student performance groups, and innovative initiatives from school districts across Ohio.

“We have lots of great things going on at Loveland and amazing people who make them happen,” said Loveland Superintendent Dr. Amy Crouse. “It’s wonderful for them to receive formal recognition by the Ohio School Board Association. These educators and programs are exemplars for the region.”
