Game 21 – Saturday May 2 Loveland vs. Shaker Heights, Game 22 – Sunday May 3 vs. Miamisburg

Trent Spikes and Jacob Timmerman each pitched complete game shutouts in leading the Tigers to weekend victories over Shaker Heights, 10-0 on Saturday, and Miamisburg, 6-0 on Sunday, in games played at Marge Schott Stadium on the campus of the University of Cincinnati.
In Saturday’s game the Tigers got on the board in the 3rd after Chris Dombroski reach on an error, was then forced at second on a fielder’s choice by Zach Roberts and the bases became loaded on a single by Luke Waddell and a walk to Josh Meszaros. Colton Lakes then found the gap in right-center field for a triple, scoring all 3 runners. In the 4th Dombroski walked and was brought home by an RBI double by Roberts for a 4-0 lead. The Tigers broke the game wide open in the 6th sending 11 batters to the plate. Dombroski singled and Roberts reached on a fielder’s choice. Meszaros then tripled scoring Roberts and the hit parade was on: Jay Wilson doubled to score Meszaros, Lakes singled, Zach Chapman had a pinch hit to score Wilson, Adam Beran singled, Blake Schlesner had a pinch hit to score Lakes and Chapman and finally Beran scored as Dombroski reached base on a error.
On Sunday the Tigers offense got going in the 1st on a leadoff single by Luke Waddell who came around to score on a Josh Meszaros double, who just killed the ball all weekend, with Meszaros taking third on the throw to the plate. Jay Wilson then hit a towering fly ball to deep center to score Meszaros. Loveland scored 2 more in the 3rd starting with a walk to Waddell and a single by Meszaros. A single by Wilson plated Waddell and a single by Colton Lakes did the same for Meszaros. The Tigers got another run in the 5th with Blake Schlesner scoring on a wild pitch from 3rd after Miamisburg had loaded the bases on 3 walks. The scoring concluded in the 7th as Cade Woolston singled, stole 2nd and scored on a single by Waddell.
Loveland improves to 17-5 overall and remains in 3rd place at 9-3 in the ECC.
